When you’re as heavily associated with such a seminal dance record as Marc Kinchen is with Nightcrawlers' Push The Feeling On, it can be a double-edged sword, a gift and a curse. For MK, though, it was solely a blessing. Establishing himself as one of the brightest dance and R&B remixers through his work on the '90s classic, the Detroit native – now 20 years deep in – has since remixed, written, and produced for a plethora of music industry heavyweights, including Blondie, Luther Vandross, Moby, Janet Jackson et al, whilst still showing love to on-the-rise talents such as Katy B, Angel Haze, and Sam Smith.
With over two hundred remix credits to his name, MK’s done a fair bit of damage to the charts, too: he’s topped the dance charts over twenty times and, more recently, cracked the UK singles chart at number one with his sun-kissed house reworking of Storm Queen’s Look Right Through. And with every shuffle-inducing dub he produces, he continues to live up to his legendary status as one of the world’s greatest dance music creators.
